Effective Communicator

In order to be an effective communicator you have to know how to communicate between different sorts of people and understand what they mean. It’s one thing to just listen to some one and have it in your brain but if you can reply back to them intelligently and efficiently then that is being an effective communicator. In some ways that I have been an effective communicator was during my peer counseling class and we did this activity call forced choice. In that activity we were giving a statement and had to decide if we agreed with the statement or disagreed. When we decided we would take a side of the room we would state our reason on why we chose the side and then the opposite side would argue with them. The point of this activity was to see how effectively we could listen and communicate to the other side and try and convince them to switch sides.
Listening is also a big importance to being an effective communicator because you can’t communicate with the person unless you know what there saying. I’ve done this by listening to people in my fourth period class on how they don’t know how to make a web page. So I listen to there concerns then I effectively communicate with them on how they can fixe there problems.
Being an effective communicator is a hard task to do. You have to have an ear to listen and a mind to speak from. Also you can’t just talk with out thinking.
